Introduction
Following a referral from a Local authority, we worked closely with commissioners to establish a specialist 2:1 support package that met the young person's individual needs.
As support was required across multiple environments including education, home and community settings, careful planning was essential. Our recruitment and compliance teams selected experienced support workers with the appropriate relevant experience in supporting young people with autism and additional communication needs.
By creating a consistent team and bespoke support plan, we ensured continuity of care whilst adapting to changing school schedules and daily routines.
Care Package Overview
The young person experienced communication difficulties and behaviours that could affect engagement with education and community activities.
Our specialist support workers introduced personalised communication strategies, including visual supports, structured routines and approaches tailored to the individual's preferred communication style.
By building trusting relationships and maintaining consistency, the team created a calm and supportive environment where the young person could develop confidence and feel secure.
Over the course of the placement, the young person demonstrated encouraging progress, engaging more positively in education, participating in community activities and developing stronger communication skills.

The young person continues to make positive progress, with support focused on building independence, confidence and resilience.
