The Referral
Standby Healthcare received a referral from a Local Authority to provide specialist support for a young person with complex needs. The aim was to create stability, reduce risk and establish a consistent care package delivered by experienced support workers.
Following a full assessment of the young persons needs, we carefully matched a team with the appropriate experienced and developed a tailored staffing support plan in partnership with the Local Authority and wider professionals.
Care Package Overview
Our team provided consistent 2:1 support, working closely alongside professionals, education providers and family members to deliver a structured package focused on communication, emotional regulation and everyday independence.
Support workers received specialist guidance to ensure a consistent approach was delivered across every shift, helping the individual feel safe whilst reducing anxiety and challenging behaviours.
Going Forward
The support package continues to evolve alongside the individuals needs. As confidence has increased, the main focus has shifted toward developing life skills, increasing independence and supporting long-term positive outcomes.
